I named this painting Oxygen because I felt it gave me room to breathe. Like its partner, Oxygen Two, I created this painting in broad strokes using a palette knife as well as a brush. The inspiration for it is strength--the strength of will, the strength of survival, the strength of hope. And to lighten that strength with joy and playfulness, I added the oranges and reds.
